The drop down question type is a special feature of the "single select" question type.  To create a drop down question type simply create a single select question and in the 'Style' drop down box in the right hand parameters pane select the ;Drop Down List' type.

 

 

 

Note: Some single select parameters are not appropriate for a drop down and will therefore not work.
